Welcome, curious fellow!

About Tina´s Journey

Who am I

I am Agustina Viegas Palermo, an Argentinian woman living in Berlin and now developing in the UX world with research focus. I believe that our past makes us who we are today.

My formal studies in theater direction and open design, as well as all the jobs that I did in parallel, made me eager to know more about my audiences, my colleagues and about myself.

Fascinated about tradition and innovation practices, as well as the intersection between science, technology and art, I always perused to explore what was extra-ordinary to me in projects and in everyday life.

I invite you to explore more about my key learnings and trajectory that made me who I am today and please reach out if you have some ideas to share!

I worked on stage and behind the scene to learn by doing about all the areas involved in theater

Theater, stage and performance

Theater was part of my life during 18 years (I started young!). Fascinated about the ways to engage the audiences and the interdisciplinary process of making a show. I also worked in production of events and as a road manager of a band.

I have a degree as a theater director from the Universidad Nacional de las Artes in Argentina. I also taught history of theater and theater direction and developed in academic research focusing in the interactions between subjects and objects which enhanced my curiosity to expand into design.

The deep exploration of specific topics through different disciplinary perspectives enable the emergence of extra-ordinary results

Research and creative explorations

In 2015 I started a master in Open Design from Universidad de Buenos Aires and Humboldt Universität, becoming the perfect platform to transition to new disciplinaries and geographical horizons.

I finished my studies with an urban game that emerged from the crossing of philosophy, urban development, narrative structures and origami from the game design perspective (Print and play for free here!)

Besides my studies, I developed research and creative projects in the fields of science, technology and arts with in individual projects and/or with Open Design Team and Random Pointer Kollektiv. I travelled to many great places, even to Nigeria to participate in a workshop for the development of neurosciences in Africa! (me!... the "theater person")

Bouncing ideas and connecting people to boost their projects is incredibly rewarding

Networking and Communities

As a people person, I always enjoyed actively contributing to communities. In events as Science Hack Day, or the festivals STATE, AMAZE, or Tech Open Air, I was always facilitating members and volunteers with the tools and resources to let themselves or their projects shine.

In 2018-2019 worked in MotionLab Berlin as a customer and community manager where I worked and followed closely the development of start-ups and understood their pain points and challenges.

Later, I progressively got involved with other communities like CityLab where I contributed with some start-ups in UX and UX research to complete a "full circle" (or at least until my next adventures :p )
